Tom Cruise talks Valkyrie on The Moment

Why did he choose Valkyrie?

It was the way the script was wrote from a movie perspective he was still surprise with the ending so had to make it. He says the movie is a suspense but also an economical film. He says ya’ll know about the bomb being there but you are sitting there waiting for it to go off.

He says the cinema language of then and now is definitely different so things had to be fixed as well. Tom goes on talking about his feelings on the movie but wondering why this guy never tried killing Hitler before since he grew up hating him. He was intrigued by his character.

Tom admits to getting disoriented when he’d put the patch on so he had to try doing it more at home. Course Suri didn’t always allow that. Another issue was wearing the uniform, he says it was just really spooky putting it on in the beginning. He also states how weird it was in Germany filming as everything was going up, he knew many were reliving it.
