Star Trek and Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise is rumored to appear in the new Star Trek, however the rumors have turned out to be false. Star Trek is due out in the summer of 2009. Tom Cruise showed up on the site of the new Star Trek movie to chat with director, J.J. Abrams to find out if he would be able to chat with Leonard Nimoy, no clue on if he could.

While Tom may not be in the movie, he is a big fan of Spock and Star Trek. This is probably why people believed he got a part in the movie. Many believed he’d at least got a small part because the last rumored movie he was not in, “Tropic Thunder,� he got a small part.
