Madonna Defends Tom Cruise
Every so often someone comes forward and defends Tom Cruise, it doesn’t matter if it is how nice a person he is, his latest movie, his marriage, Suri or even Scientology. When someone, mostly the press, catches wind of it it hits the blogwaves. So, here’s the latest information:
Madge, also known as Madonna, recently defended Tom Cruise to a New York Magazine. Apparently the New York Magazine wanted to chat it up with her after they’d heard her stating that she was OVER New York. Since their conversation she’s corrected that statement and says she hates that people are so literal. Honestly I think I understand what she means. It’s like going somewhere new for the first time, you try everything out but then after you’d been there for a while it gets old and so does the people. Many people deal with this, just they can’t leave when they get bored.
Most of her conversation dealt with the AIDS epidemic back in the 80s and how she felt then and now. Plus a great deal on Malawi and the adoption of her son, David. However, when asked Tom Cruise was at a recent fund-raiser. Do you sympathize with him, her response was:
I don’t care if people worship turtles or frogs - if they’re good people, that’s all I care about, and he (Cruise) is a good person. I think he gets a raw deal, just as I think the orphans in Malawi get a raw deal; just as I think a lot of marginalised people get a raw deal.”
What do you think? I do think it was funny how she said whatever people worship is up to them, whether its frogs or turtles. Keep in mind Tom Cruise went to her Malawi Fund Raiser to raise awareness and I’m sure he probably donated a hefty amount for the cause. Do you think he gets a raw deal because of Scientology? I think if he wasn’t so public about it he’d be the Tom Cruise everyone knew back in Top Gun. Just that handsome man that loves the jets.
