The 51st film festival will open on October 17 until November 1st, this is one of the biggest events that actually take place in the UK. Films from all around the globe will be at this event, as well as famous directors, actor/actresses, screenings, etc. Fans get to meet the stars and actually talk with them, while walking around looking at the galas and listening to interviews. There are normally a few movie workshops and 133 shorts, 184 feature film screened for the London area. These films aren’t all action movies either, they might be shorts, documentaries, animation, classic, etc. It is definitely an event the stars like to go.
Sandra Hebron, festival director is really excited about it and even stated,
“In a very strong year for world cinema, we are delighted to be able to present such a wide ranging and high quality programme of films and special events, in which work by internationally renowned directors sits comfortably alongside that from many exciting new talents. We look forward to welcoming filmmakers, audiences and press and industry delegates alike to our two week celebration of the best, most creative and original films of the year.?
I wonder if this means we’ll see Suri and Katie at the festival? I doubt it since the last festival Tom left them behind, but it would be fun. Lions for Lambs will be hitting the big screen on November 9th.
