Katie Holmes to Broadway
Katie Holmes may hit Broadway very soon, granted this isn’t the movie business but it is one step closer. I remember last year she was mentioning wanting to perform on broadway, so her wish may have just been granted. If the rumors are true she may be in the final negotiations with producer Eric Falkenstein, that’ll put her on the stage with Diane West and John Lithgow in a production of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons.
All My Sons is about a woman that turned in her own father because he sold faulty pieces to the military. For most of the movie you’ll see the relationship between father and son and the business world. Not to mention how a mother/wife will react when she realizes her husband is guilty. I wonder if Katie will play the woman that turns her father in and is later shunned by the rest of the family.
If Katie Holmes gets the role she’s negotiating she will not be home 6 out of 7 days a week. Course knowing Tom he’ll make arrangements so that she can see her daughter every day, probably late at night or in the morning. Just because she’ll be doing shows every night of the week, well just about, doesn’t mean she can’t spend some time with her daughter. Many people are looking at it like she’ll be abandoning her, but think about the working mom. Aren’t they normally gone 5 days out of the week? I say go for it Katie, get your name back out there and for your own talent, not just for being the wife of Tom Cruise.
