OK! Magazine is reporting that Katie Holmes was down in New York before her Broadway appearance. Many got to see Katie inside the Carlyle hotel for a business meeting with her future bosses.

Katie Holmes’ dream of becoming a Broadway star have become that much closer. Producer, Eric Falkenstein has officially stated that Katie Holmes will be joining the team on stage for “Arthur Miller’s All My Sons.”
It’s amazing when you look at the huge difference Katie Holmes hairstyles over the past year, but lets look at them since her time on Dawson’s Creek. Let me know which one was your favorite hairstyle.

Katie Holmes is known for shocking the world when she chopped her long curls to a soft, short bob. A few months later she’d cut that even shorter with some bangs, it was a classy look that made you think of some older movies. But just this past week she’s chopped her hair even shorter, which may remind you of some hairstyles Tom Cruise has had. Is the reason for the cut to keep cool during the upcoming summer or is this for a movie? No one will know unless she tells us.
Katie Holmes may hit Broadway very soon, granted this isn’t the movie business but it is one step closer. I remember last year she was mentioning wanting to perform on broadway, so her wish may have just been granted. If the rumors are true she may be in the final negotiations with producer Eric Falkenstein, that’ll put her on the stage with Diane West and John Lithgow in a production of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes were just two celebrities that graced the Essence’s First Annual Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon this past week. Katie Holmes may have recently played in Mad Money, but it was her best friend Jada Pinkett Smith that was being awarded at the Essence Party this past week. Others that showed up were Vivica A. Fox, Star Jones, Gabrielle Union, Kerry Washington, Raven Symone Pearman and many, many more.
How did Katie Holmes’ new movie, Mad Money do on its first weekend out? After all we saw Katie Holmes almost every day on the television set with one interview or another.

Cloverfield $41 million
This one is scary the folks inside the theater so much that they are feeling faint by the time it is over. This is definitely a movie I want to see. A monster attacks New York, sure it sounds like King Kong but this is an ugly monster that eats everyone.

National Treasure again, this time Nicolas Cage is out to find a diary and on his search for it he unravels a bit of history for those watching it.

Two best friends are small time criminals, which finally catches up with one of them. Durrell is told if he can’t pay is $17,000 in debt he’ll lose his little boy they decide to rob a church, but they get locked in. What happens after the two men spend the night in a church?
Mad Money $7.7 million
Three women working in a Federal bank and one is desperately in need of money and another gets wind that they are going to have to burn all the old money. Together the three women, Katie Holmes, Queen Latifah and Diane Keaten play the ladies, put together a plan to steal the money. This is sure to be an easy movie to sit through and make you laugh.
Alvin and The Chipmunks $7 million
Remember these cute little Chipmunks from your childhood? They are now hitting the big screen in their brand new remake and it isn’t a cartoon, this is more like the remake of Garfield. I wonder if Chippettes will be created next.
I am Legend $5.1 million
Robert Neville, played by Will Smith, is the last human survivor that wasn’t harmed by a virus that wiped out mankind. He’s constantly giving radio reports in hopes of finding one more survivor that wasn’t touched. Running out of time, Neville must use his own blood to help those that were infected.
Atonement $4.8
Briony tells of a crime that never happened, it was all a misunderstanding between her sister and her sister’s lover that’ll continue throughout the war.
So there ya have it folks, it didn’t rank to terribly bad since it is more of a chick flick and not an action or horror movie. Did you go see it? What was your take on it? I’ll be waiting until it hits DVD, but I’m almost certain I’m sure it’ll be a movie I purchase once I’ve seen it.
Katie Holmes was given the title, “Most Improved” by USWeekly this past week. In the most recent issue of USWeekly it lists the top 20 make overs that didn’t use surgery. Katie of course has changed a lot since meeting Tom Cruise. Think back to her Dawson Creek days, always running in and out of Dawson’s window in t-shirts and jeans. Now of course she wouldn’t be caught dead in sneakers, the only thing that seems to grace her beautiful, manicured feet are high heels.
Katie Holmes plays a bank robber with Diane Keaton and Queen Latifah. The three federal reserve employee will pull off a stunt that’s never been successful. They don’t really look at it as stealing since it is old money that is about to go through the shredder. But what happens when one gets caught? She trades sex to keep the secret. And just how are they expected not to spend it? Now as many would do, you spend it anyways.
It seems that Katie Holmes has went solo. No, I’m not meaning she and Tom Cruise have split, but it seems that these two are split by an ocean of water. Suri Cruise hasn’t popped up either, in fact the reason Katie Holmes has landed in Oz (aka New York) is for a “Secret Photo Op.” I wouldn’t call this a secret though since everyone in Hollywood seems to know about it.

This has been one of those crazy rumors that is going all over the net. One states that Jessica Biel was going to play Wonder Woman in the new movie, “Justice League of America” instead of Katie Holmes.
According to Star Magazine:
“The movie’s only at the discussion state, but Katie feels this role as a kick-ass superhero will put her back in the public eye…She wants to show her stuff, and she wants to prove that she can stand on her own two feet without Tom’s help. Tom, at times, feels compelled to oversee Katie’s career, but Katie is bent on doing this alone. She actually scheduled the meeting when she knew Tom wasn’t going to be able to be there.”
The stills have come out for Katie Holmes’ latest movie, Mad Money, which should be released in January 25, 2008. Mad Money is a movie about three female bank robbers and the first movie Katie appeared in after giving birth to Suri Cruise in 2006. Katie appeared in the movie with Queen Latifah, Ted Danson and Diane Keaton, which were a husband and wife duo.
The man that was holding Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ wedding photos ransom has been found dead. According to Sky News the police found David Hans Schmidt, 47, inside his home dead on Friday. The police realized that his tracker hadn’t moved in a few days and checked out his home, upon entering they found that he had committed suicide. David faced two years in federal prison if found guilty and was already on house arrest.
Schmidt was known for brokering photos that he would take of celebrities when no one should’ve seen them. He was even trying to sell Paris Hilton’s diairies and photos of her undressing in her home. Not only was he facing criminal charges and prison time but a very large fine to go with it.

In this film Katie Holmes played the other woman and was only on briefly. Have you seen Phone booth? That was one of those films where you just couldn’t walk out of the room. Jeez, and people wonder why I won’t answer a pay phone.
