The first footage of Lions of Lambs has just been released. For those that may not know Tom Cruise will play a senator, Merryl Streep is a journalist, and Robert Redford (who’s directing and acting in it) is the professor.

Lions of Lambs:

Simultaneously: 1) a Senator on Capital Hill debates a current crisis in Afghanistan, with the Reporter who made his career … 2) a Professor teaching Political Science tries his best to convince a good student not to give up his studies, using two former students who passionately enlisted in the Army as an example … 3) both of which (coincidentally) are currently under fire in Afghanistan — the very same crisis the Senator and Reporter are debating over

Wow, what the heck happened? First, Tom was denied entry into military bases. I thought for sure Tom Cruise would have to find another location to shoot the film but now it seems that Germany is having a change of heart.

Germany is now stating that the never actually banned Tom from filming Valkyrie on their bases. They never even got the permit to ask them if Tom could film there. Guess they really couldn’t have denied entry if no one was asking. Right? Other reports, including this site stated that Tom was denied entry due to his religious beliefs.

The Ministry says, despite reports to the contrary, it has no opposition to the film shooting in Germany.

Supposibly the ministry never said Tom couldn’t film there, in fact it is being stated:

The Ministry now says it has not received an official request from Valkyrie producers United Artists to shoot in the country, but it will “look agreeably” upon any such application.

Course in reality this isn’t giving a 100% okay, it’s just that it will be looked upon “agreeably.” Currently the project, “Valkyrie” is being worked on to create a co-producer with a Germany film industry and United Artists. Either way, Tom Cruise and company had hopes to begin filming next month, which is only in two days. Will they come to terms before it comes time to shoot?

Since everyone is talking about Tom Cruise wanting to play Claus Von Stauffenberg I couldn’t help but put these two pictures together and see what ya’ll thought. Can you see the similiarities?

Even after Germany officials told Tom Cruise he would not be permitted to film on the Germany military bases he’d hoped to shoot at, he is still wanting to film there.

“[Filmmakers] will not be allowed to film at German military sites if Count Stauffenberg is played by Tom Cruise, who has publicly professed to being a member of the Scientology cult,” Kammerbauer is quoted as saying.

“In general, the Bundeswehr (German military) has a special interest in the serious and authentic portrayal of the events of July 20, 1944 and Stauffenberg’s person,” Kammerbauer added.

Germany does not recognize the Church of Scientology as a church. According to Reuters, Berlin believes Scientology “masquerades as a religion to make money.”

Okay, I don’t know if he’s just hoping that they’ll change their mind or what, but I’m pretty certain it ISN’T going to happen..at least not there. I think Germany made their point very clear that they did not want this filmed by anyone that is into Scientology. What’s your take?

Tom Cruise is now speaking out stating that he doesn’t believe his religion, Scientology will make a difference in the movie. His beliefs have nothing to do with the film and that he still wants to shoot the movie on location in von Stauffenberg’s homeland.

I must say I do believe that his religion would have nothing to deal with this movie or even the plot behind it. But Germany is a whole other country and has their own set of rules, if they are saying no then the answer is NO.

After Germany announced their decision, Tom Cruise’s spokesperson Paula Wagner released this statement.

“To set the record straight, ‘Valkyrie’ is a historically accurate thriller that presents the World War Two resistance hero Col. Claus Schenk von Stauffenberg as the heroic and principled figure he was, and we believe it will go a long way towards reminding the world that even within the ranks of the German military there was real resistance to the Nazi regime. ‘Valkyrie’ was originated and brought to United Artists by Bryan Singer and Christopher McQuarrie. Based on the fantastic screenplay written by Mr. McQuarrie and Nathan Alexander, we gave it the green light. Mr. Singer, the director, then offered the role of Col. Stauffenberg to Tom Cruise because he thought he was perfect for the part. Aside from his obvious admiration of the man he is portraying, Mr. Cruise’s personal beliefs have absolutely no bearing on the movie’s plot, themes, or content. And even though we could shoot the movie anywhere in the world, we believe Germany is the only place we can truly do the story justice.”

My guess, since “Valkyrie” is still set to be filmed next month is they’ll be looking for another location very soon. I don’t think Tom will allow this movie not to be filmed, but I do think he’ll be having to be looking for another location to do it. What other place do you think they could film such a movie?

German officials have declared war, war on Tom Cruise that is and anything affiliated with him. According to Accesshollywood, if Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg is played by Tom Cruise, the film company will NOT be allowed to do shots from the various military bases it had hoped for.

The movie, “Valkyrie” is about the plot to kill Adolf Hitler. The Germans are afraid that this serious incident, which happened on July 20, 1944 will not be taken seriously and be all about scientology. The Scientologists are denying that that will happen but Germany isn’t taking any chances.

This past weekend there were several reports about the son of anti-Hitler hero was very upset about Tom playing the part. It looks like he has lots of weight in Germany and his opinion MATTERS.

So will the show go on? No clue, but if it does it means either Tom is out or they choose another location to film.

For now, Katie Holmes, wife to Tom Cruise, has squashed all rumors that she is in the early stages of pregnancy. How? She revealed a very sliming figure in a black swimsuit and cinching belt….no bump was visible.

Cruise’s agent has also denied rumors of pregnancy, saying:

“They are not expecting a second child.”

and just to make sure we all know that Tom’s not expecting…

Cruise’s agent told Metro:

They are not expecting a second child. Tom is preparing for his next movie.

So folks, I guess we were wrong. It could’ve been just the dress she was wearing. Shucks, I was hoping we’d get to see another baby bump forming again.

The L.A. Galaxy that is, no I didn’t mean space. Tom Cruise has decided that he wants to support the LA Galaxy. He is placing a $100 million take over bid for his friend David Beckham’s team, Beckham signed up with Galaxy in early January.

Does this mean Tom will be the owner of the “Galaxies”? I doubt it but he’s got enough money I’m sure if he really wanted to he could. In the meantime the team is more than happy to take his financial support. Can ya blame them?

We all know Tom just LOVES soccer, he makes sure he never misses a game when his kids’ play. Why wouldn’t he be interested in an adult league, pro at that.

Even though earlier reports stated that Tom Cruise was going to officially marry James and Erica Parker, it did not go down like that. Tom Cruise and Katie did however, get front row seats during the wedding ceremony.

The blushing bride came down a white carpet laced with lanterns in her own gown, James of course was dressed in a black suit and tie. It was held under a tarp of flowers to keep the sun off of them. The wedding was said to be small (100 guests) but very beautiful. Would you ever doubt it would be anything but, I mean it’s on the French Riviera.

Not sure if they had any type of religious ceremony, but they did have a civil ceremony at the Hotel de Ville. The wedding itself, only lasted for 30-40 minutes, once over they all headed to Hotel du Cap Eden Roc for the festivities to begin. The festivities went on all night, even after midnight celebrities were spotted outside in the fairy lit garden.

Happy 40th Birthday Nicole!!!

Nicole, who played a voice on Happy Feet, turned 40 years old today. So, why am I announcing it on this blog? Nicole Kidman, wife to Keith Urban, is actually the ex-wife of Tom Cruise.

Tom and Nicole were married December 24, 1990 until August 8, 2001. The couple adopted two children during that time, Isabella and Connor.

Now I know many of you will be on the wall with this whole pregnancy, at least until they “Officially” announce it. Right? Here are a few pictures in the mean time.

Well, no Tom’s not pregnant but his new wife, Katie Holmes might be. I’m sure by now you’ve heard rumors for a few weeks now that Katie Holmes was pregnant. But rumor has it Tom Cruise & Katie actually confided in a friend that leaked it. Katie’s expecting number 2. I wonder if it will be a boy or a girl this time, I hope a boy for Tom’s sake.

Do ya’ll believe she’s pregnant? Yes or no in the comments please. Maybe we’ll do a poll in the upcoming weeks. I do believe she is, especially once she announced that she would like another child.

On top of all things, now I find out that Tom Cruise can also perform marriages. Did you know that? I guess in his religion (Scientology) he is on the highest level of scientology which means he can perform marriages. So this Reverend will be marrying off James Packer on Wednesday, June 20 on France’s Cote d’Azur.

James Packer, Australia’s richest man, will be marrying Australian Singer, Erica Baxter. Packer began his scientology lessons in 2002 which is when he became very good friends with Tom Cruise. Both had recently had marriages come to an end and were able to bond tightly during that time, James made regular appearances at the Church of Scientology in LA, so it makes sense why Tom would be the one to perform the wedding.

The wedding already costs $6M and why not it seems they all like to have those big extravagant weddings. Am I right? This of course means there’ll be TONS of pics for us to look at. There are suppose to be events for the next few days which means tons of fun for those of us reading. For those of you dieing of wonder, Suri and Katie are both with Tom.

My guess is it is probalby no, but many blogs online are reporting that trouble is behind the doors of the TomKat mansion and Katie’s warning Tom. How ya ask? Katie’s wearing the warning.

Katie was recently spotted wearing a singelringen (a ring that is worn to tell others she’s available and looking) while she was filming her newest film, “Mad Money.” Now I’ve heard the phrase, “When the cats away the mice will play,” but I don’t really think that’s the case. Who knows, for all we know her character actually sports the ring in the movie and she got into the habit of wearing it. Is that possible? I say yes, after all we didn’t see the ring on her finger when she was coming out of “Cuts Steakhouse” this week.

Not to worry TomKat fans, I don’t think this rumor has any ground.
