A friend Tom and Katie was spotted at the trendy Petit Tresor baby boutique in West Hollywood last week, sparking speculations that a baby may be on the way.

The friend of the Cruise’s was overheard saying, “We want to be prepared for a baby boy.” and showed interest in sports, nursery rhyme, cartoon and blue themes.

The estimated cost for the eggshell blue-themed room alone is $45,000 — and would include a custom-made blue and white antique crib, blue bedding and blue walls with floating clouds. The shop was also given a deadline of April 15, three days before Suri’s first birthday, to come up with the designs.

Australia’s Daily Telegraph reports that the meeting caused quite a stir at the party and the crowd of VIP’s watched with excitement.

Evidently the VIP crowd is easy to please, because if I were caught at a party talking to my ex-husband, nobody would care.

Chris Evans isn’t looking to be the next Tom Cruise

The Internet rumor mill spilleth over again. Supposedly actor Chris Evans of “Fantastic Four” fame was quoted on his IMDB.com page as saying he would love to be Tom Cruise.

When asked, Evans said he was amused and denied ever making such a statement. Evans prefers a different sort of career and acknowledged that Cruise’s footsteps would be a little big to follow.

Maybe there’ll come a time where we need more than one Tom. Today isn’t that day.

Redstone, Chairman of Viacom-owned Paramount Pictures, wants to be friends with Tom Cruise. For a second time.

Last year Redstone made remarks about Cruise’s behavior regarding his relationship with Katie Holmes and his defense of Scientology. Redstone did not expect his remarks in an interview with The Wall Street Journal to be as explosive as they evidently came across. It marked the end of a long and profitable relationship between Cruise and himself at Paramount Pictures.

Redstone did not like the way The Wall Street Journal portrayed him in his interview. Redstone went on to tell People magazine he’s looking forward to being [Cruise’s] friend again.

In the interim, Cruise has signed a deal to breath new life into the United Artist movie studio with MGM.
